As an avid hunter for the past two decades, I regularly dry all types of exotic meats that include bear and venison. After my last hunt, I began preserving the meat. I panicked when my original dehydrator stopped working before I had all of the meat processed. If it had not been for getting a Cuisinart DHR-20, I would have had to toss about 10 pounds of meat. I was also amazed at the speed at which the machine carried out the job. My new dehydrator saved me a week’s worth of work.

I think the dehydrator is a great appliance. The Cuisinart is simple to clean, runs quietly and features three temperature settings. The device also does not take up that much space. While the trays in another dehydrator I had were made of flimsy soft, white plastic, the trays that come with the Cuisinart are clear and much more durable. Whether drying fruits or vegetables, the end product turns out great. I’m glad someone recommended that I get this machine.

I use my dehydrator to dry herbs. This machine makes the job so easy. I’m done in no time. I can’t wait to try drying other foods. I especially like the fact that you can look into each compartment and see the progress of processing. I would definitely recommend the Cuisinart to anyone who is thinking about buying a dehydrator.
